Shattered, 2024, 41 x 32.5 x 5 cm, Embroidery on Linen

These images were taken moments after the Beirut explosion on the 4th August 2020. They are images taken by close friends and family, where every single shard of glass is carefully embroidered in multi coloured thread, not only to highlight every piece that shattered our lives but also to attempt to soften the jagged edges of the deadly glass and inject colour against a dark backdrop as a marker of hope and life.
